What a magical place! The location is idyllic and private – we truly felt like we were in our own little world. While the cabin is small, the amenities are anything but. Everything we needed and more was there for us. The hosts were also incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had.

Spectacular. Easy, comfortable and luxury. Hard to believe places like this exist.

My husband and I stayed at Sky Retreat and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland! Not only is the property an absolute gem, but the hosts were so incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our trip.

One of our favorite parts of staying here was the animals..getting to see and interact with their cute goats and majestic horses every single day made the experience so memorable and special. On top of that, the whole place is designed with floor-to-ceiling glass, giving you the most amazing views of the surrounding landscape. It creates the absolute perfect setting to cozy up inside and watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky.

The space was spotless, comfortable, and served as the ultimate home base for exploring Iceland. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Some places simply stay with you, and Sky Retreat Iceland is one of them. It truly felt like a dream come true, and a place we’ll keep coming back to. Without a doubt, it was the best stay we’ve ever experienced.

The beautiful glass cabin lets you feel completely immersed in nature. From sunrise to sunset, we found ourselves constantly looking outside, watching Icelandic horses play, graze, and wander through the surrounding fields while curious sheep occasionally stopped by to say hello. It felt like living inside the landscape.

The cabin is incredibly luxurious and exceptionally well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The spacious kitchen even includes an air fryer, making it easy to prepare a cozy meal after a day of exploring. There’s also a washing machine, which is especially convenient if you’re travelling around Iceland on a road trip.

One of our favorite parts was unwinding in the private sauna before stepping into the outdoor hot tub, overlooking the endless green meadows. The peaceful surroundings, breathtaking views, and complete silence made every moment feel incredibly special.

What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always just a message away if we needed anything, making us feel truly looked after throughout our stay.

If you’re searching for a unique place where luxury meets Icelandic nature, Sky Retreat Iceland is simply unforgettable. We genuinely can’t recommend it enough and already know we’ll be back!!

I stayed in the family cabin now in june 2026. Could not have been a better spot to have on the South coast, close to every attraction i had planned to visit and the Hosts was Amazing, responsed quick and gave us great advises. We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at the Seljalandsfoss Cabin by Sky Retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting and breathtaking surroundings. Nestled at the foot of the mountain with sweeping views across the open Icelandic landscape, the location offers pure tranquility — it’s hard to put into words how special it feels to be somewhere so quiet and untouched.

The cabin itself is warm, cosy, and beautifully equipped. It comfortably sleeps up to four people and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay — including a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils you could ask for. It truly felt like a home away from home. The addition of WiFi and a TV made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring.

One of the highlights was the incredible opportunity to see the Northern Lights right from the cabin. With no light pollution and wide open skies, it’s the perfect spot for an unforgettable aurora experience.

The hosts truly made this stay exceptional. They are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. Their personal touch adds something really special, making the cabin feel like the ideal family lodge during your stay in Iceland.

The location is ideal for exploring the south of Iceland, while still feeling private and secluded. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and a truly unique Icelandic experience.
